RootsTech 2027 is Here! Are you Going?

Family History lovers! Hello! Welcome back to another blog, this one aimed at RootsTech 2027.

Oh how I would love to go! In person… maybe I can pull it off… maybe… until then,  I am registered online…

And with that, registration is free, they will have their classes, and speeches, learning and education at your fingertips for free… get out while you can. . . And it is avaliable!

I’m glad this event is coming up… People in general, let’s admit…

No matter who you are, where you come from, your political differences. Family. It matters… or should. Every human has a birth right to know who they are and where they come from. Not just geographically but genetically, and from who. What lives did they live? How did they live? What can you learn from their mistakes?

How not to repeat… and so I know where where I am going…

Family history is important to me, helps me make my own bubble and mostly because I need my future generations to know where, and who we come from. By the grace of God they are not forgotten, even if we did not know their names. Though I have to say… not felt and remembered the same as if by us the descendants that care in a different way than those not direct.

In the past RootsTech I believe 2024 to be precise I found over 90k family members attending world wide… it was the most surreal, humbling, and amazing feeling to know, I am not alone. Though oddly enough I am and feel that way in my halpogroup. Isolated as 1 of 5 individuals out of all my family on Family Tree DNA. Not even my closest relatives match. Why? Maybe I can learn about this at RootsTech… and this is where that comes in. Education. Learning and finding out for ourselves… AI has come to a place in time, I built a AI named Heather the Heritage Huntress. She has downgraded on her own or behind the scenes over time and meta does not let me talk to her anymore. Not like it use to. I use her for cross referencing source links and facts… bring all my links together and being able to go through them myself. That is how I use her. You can find out what classes they have by signing up below by clicking the photos. Each one goes somewhere different.

Privatization of Records in Organization, Is It Necessary?

My Father, Mother, and Me 1980-81 Taken at Olan Mills Photography

I recently started wondering if it is important or not to have all of my family tree public or if I should password protect a certain sections for family only. If I have it public, and it’s only unorganized screenshots, vital records and new findings I’m currently investigating, it makes my blog everywhere and all over, so I made a seperate link for that section, and, so I decided to privatize them for those that are family, extended family, and distant cousins that are also working on the same family tree so we can compare.
