I am excited about this one, as I have been, and will continue to blog on ancestors that came to America and their descendants. I am still source indexing, and I know, I can use all the research tips he can give, because I am always learning. As I’m sure many of us still are! David also has a website with a podcast called Virtual Historians that he co-host with Terri O’Connell. You can check it out by clicking the highlighted text.

The second speaker that aired is Beth Taylor, she is a Research Specialist at Family Search, and went LIVE on July 26th, 2023 at 1:15-2:15 pm MT (GMT-6) and she spoke about The Tired, the Poor, and the Huddled Masses: U.S. Immigration 1820-1954. • AVAILABLE NOW 👈

I know many of us in the United States come from a diverse background and several different countries. Learning about different immigration routes, patterns, and the masses they came in is very important, as it can help piece together individual lives, and families, by source indexing them to attach to the correct people, and ancestors.

The third speaker that aired via LIVE stream on July 26th, 2023 at 1:30-2:30 pm MT (GMT -6) is Debbie Gurtler, Assistant Director at the Family Search Library. She spoke about Vaya con Dios: Hispanic Immigration to Latin America. • LIVE 👈 click to watch

I know that many of us have a hard time finding immigration records, especially to Latin America. This is a great way to learn where to start looking and find those records!

That’s why having experts like these go LIVE and stream on YouTube is awesome, because it gives us an opportunity to learn and grow in our skills as family historians, genealogist, and those just getting started!

Family Search and Roots Tech still has a lot of great videos available to watch and learn from too. So before the live check them out and catch up!!!

There is an interesting video from Family Search – Roots Tech 2023, and you can check it out below.

I hope this blog post will help you stay tuned with the upcoming LIVE streams Family Search has going on and Happy Hunting on your family history and genealogy journey!!
