Welcome to my family history blog! I’m so excited, I already registered for the online portion of the event which is FREE!!!

RootsTech 2024 Early Bird Registration is here!!! Whether you are lucky enough to be going in person, or if you would like to attend the online event, I say, “the earlier you register the better!”

If you plan on going in person, the Early Bird pricing is $99.00 for all 3 days of the event, I placed the link in the first photo at the top of the blog, if you plan attending online like me this year, that portion is ALL completely FREE!

It’s full of professional Genealogist to help you learn and guide you through building your research skills, letting us know how to find certain files, and or work new software, recommend books and more, and really help many of us break trough those brick walls we all have somewhere! Dozens of FREE classes are available at whatever level of family history you are at! There is information for all of us. It’s NORMAL to have brick walls in our family trees, all of us do at some point, even the most experienced. So, do NOT get discouraged! It is about how, where, and when you can find the documents to source index, when they are made available, and so forth.

Last year the event I attended online as was, absolutely amazing as I had over 90,000 relatives registered at the same time!!! Like I said AMAZING!

Another cool experience is finding out Jane Austin is my 7th cousin and not my 13th according to RootsTech. Via my Maternal side.

I’m interesting in knowing who will show up as relatives this year. Being able to reach out to new cousins, have them join too, as well as family anywhere and literally all over the world!

I hope wherever, and whoever you are, that you are able to find your Roots at RootsTech! Get started today in finding out more! Family history is, and should be an important part of life. If it wasn’t for our ancestors, whether they have done right or wrong, we wouldn’t be here today. The history isn’t where only where we come from, but knowing the history helps us move forward with ourselves, being able to let go of the past by not repeating their mistakes.
