Hello and welcome to my family history blog.
Where I keep research, my family history, some sources, and some peoples booboos that I havent had time to sort out yet. And hopefully, by the time I get to them they will be corrected.
Getting to the topic at hand. The Revolutionary War. I had a cousin reach out in a message online asking if I was a member of DAR (Daughters of the Revolution), which I am not… Yet…
After I got to looking and researching I found 18 Great Grandfathers so far that we’re part of the Revolutionary War. From Privates, Captains, Colonel’s, and Lieutenants. I was shocked to have found so many and im sure there are more because I have 10 missing people in my 7 generation fan. And it has come to my attention, Lucy Franklin is a different Lucy Franklin, but still Lucy Franklin, but even though same birth and death dates, different husband. She married an Ambrose Johnson. William Temple Franklins Daughter Lucy, whom gets mistaken, my Lucy is the daughter of Shadrach Franklin.
Check out the slideshow below.
18 Revolutionary War Soldiers, Captains I am direct descendant from so far I found in my research.
1 Thomas Pugh,
2 William Temple Franklin… found to be a different Franklin. Shadrach Franklin. All correct up to Lucy… Lucy is correct but a different Lucy, same name and dates. Different Franklin fathers. I still tested positive mtDNA to Benjamin Franklin. Says we share ancestors. So somewhere in there a connection.
